This is not a ceremonial advisory board. We want judgement, challenge and perspective — not names for a website.

Do advisors get a public profile? Only if they want one.
Public advisors may receive a dedicated profile within the Global Security Job / THE ARC website. Rather than “Jane Smith — Advisor”, we want the profile to explain why that person matters.
The advisor can link directly to that profile from LinkedIn. We can also provide an accurate LinkedIn-ready role description, biography and announcement material. Visibility is optional. Some advisors may contribute privately.

How much time does advising THE ARC require?
We are not looking to fill calendars with advisory meetings. Depending on the relationship, involvement might mean a strategic conversation at the right moment, challenging a major assumption, reviewing an institutional approach, providing specialist perspective, participating in a selected workshop, or making an introduction when genuinely appropriate.
A few hours of exceptional judgement at the right time can be more valuable than a monthly meeting.
Formal arrangements are agreed individually.

How THE ARC protects advisor independence
We want experience — not privileged access.
We do not seek classified, confidential or improperly obtained information. We do not expect advisors to influence procurement decisions or public officials. Relevant conflicts of interest must be disclosed. Advisors remain free to disagree with us. Participation never implies endorsement by an advisor’s current or former government, employer, military service or institution.
